Why only 3 nights in Cape Town you ask? Surely you need more time! You are absolutely right you do.
We passed through Cape Town on our way to Kruger National Park for some safari, However if you find yourself passing through Cape Town here is a fun packed 3 day itineray.
Where We Stayed: The One&Only
Nestled against the backdrop of Table Mountain, The One&Only stands as a beacon of luxury and refinement. From the moment we stepped foot onto its exceptional grounds, we were greeted with impeccable service and an array of culinary delights. With a renowned Nobu restaurant on-site, our taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavours, complemented by stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Unforgettable Experiences:
Table Mountain: Our journey began with a breathtaking ascent to the summit of Table Mountain. With tickets secured in advance, we escaped the queues and were rewarded with panoramic vistas that stretched as far as the eye could see. As we marvelled at the awe-inspiring beauty below, we couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at being able to check off one of the New Seven Wonders of the World from our bucket list.
Winelands Tours: No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a journey into the heart of the Winelands. Our excursion to Stellenbosch offered a delightful blend of indulgence and discovery as we sampled the finest wines amidst picturesque vineyards. Opting for a private tour allowed us to savour each moment with a sense of intimacy, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Culinary Delights:
Cape Town is a paradise for food enthusiasts, offering a myriad of culinary delights to tantalize the taste buds. From succulent meats to fresh seafood, the city's diverse dining scene caters to every palate. Our culinary escapades led us to NV-80, Gold, Gordon's, and Nobu, where each meal surpassed our expectations. Despite the notorious service at Gordon's, the exceptional flavors more than made up for any shortcomings.
What We Missed:
As much as we tried to immerse ourselves in all that Cape Town has to offer, three nights simply weren't enough to do justice to this captivating city. Our only regret was missing out on a visit to Robben Island, a poignant reminder of South Africa's tumultuous history. Although our plans were thwarted by inclement weather, we remain determined to return and complete our exploration of this remarkable destination.
In Conclusion:
Our time in Cape Town was nothing short of magical, filled with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. From the awe-inspiring beauty of Table Mountain to the culinary delights that tantalized our taste buds, every moment spent in this vibrant city left an indelible mark on our hearts. With a rating of 5/5, Cape Town has undoubtedly earned its place as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking adventure, culture, and unparalleled beauty.
